I have two physical drives in the machine, but disk mgmt shows one Disk0 ONLINE and Healthy and DISK 1 ONLINE Unallocated. But Doesn't Always Erase ItWhen you format a drive in Windows, data may or may not truly be erased. The quick format skips this check. I also run vista ultimate on one internal hard disk and XP on another so I can boot between two configurations with exactly the same hardware. It's all possible and fairly straightforward.Most BIOSes have a reserved key that you press at startup to display a boot menu (F11 is a common option, but there are others).
